There is one problem that I am sure a great number of our blog readers have faced at one point. It is one of the most common as well as annoying problems you face in regards to your toilets. That problem is a loose toilet seat.  Today, we are going to provide you with the reasons why your toilet seat is loose and the steps on how to fix a loose toilet seat.

A loose toilet seat is most likely the result of a loose nut on the seat bolts. To correct this problem we need to tighten the bolts which attach the toilet seat onto the bowl of the toilet. To start you will require a screw driver and some pliers. Take your screwdriver and set it into the the plastic screw found on the top of the seat. In most cases you will find a little plastic covering overtop of the screws, simply pop those open and pull them back to access the screws. Next you want to take your pliers and tighten the nut found on the underside of the toilet below the screws while securing th screws with your screwdriver. Be sure that you don’t over tighten these, you just want then nice and snug.
